Self Preserving Honey Shampoo Lush Dupe
Self Preserving Honey Shampoo Lush Dupe
The Self Preserving Honey Shampoo is my copycat of Lush’s product Fairly Traded Honey. Like the glorious original, it contains over 50% honey, is infused with flax seed mucilage, and is fragranced with a similar blend of essential oils. This is a good dupe however I have substituted some ingredients for more widely available ones. For example, Lush uses lauryl betaine, where I have used cocamidopropyl betaine, Lush uses Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES) whereas I have chosen Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS). I have also included detailed instructions for making Flax Seed Mucilage.
As a bonus I have made a minimalist variation using sodium laureth sulphate and decyl glucoside omitting the flax seed gel and cocamidopropyl betaine. You can find more information about the product in this blog post.
