Easy Cellulite Busting Bath and Massage Blend

So you might have a bit of cushioning on your derrière and surrounding regions, which is not a bad thing, but the orange peel effect might be a bit bothersome.  Here is a nice and easy bath and massage oil that you can use to help with circulation and even out your adipose tissue or  fat to you and me!

There are a number of oils that are good for cellulite.  You could use Grapefruit, Oregano, Lemon, Cedarwood, Fennel, Basil, Thyme, Sage, Patchouli, Juniper or Rosemary.

For this recipe I am going to keep it simple and use just Juniper, Rosemary, Clary sage and Cedarwood.

Clary sage contains linalyl acetate which is a strong anti inflammatory.  Cedarwood is our fixative which will help bind the scents together. it is also a diuretic so will help with loosing excess fluids.

Juniper berry is an evergreen shrub that can grow up to 10 meters in the wild.  It is calming and helps to relieve stress without a sedative effect. It can also be used to purify the air before medication.  It has a sweet, crisp yet woody aroma and it blends well with Clary sage and Patchouli.  It is great for the formation of connective tissue in your skin to give it a firmer, tighter appearance. It is also one of the go to essential oils for flushing out toxins and excess fluid which can add to the appearance of cellulite.

Rosemary is a herb we are all familiar with, our lamb shank could not do with out it and neither can  your skin!!  It is a mental and physical stimulant which makes it a good oil for a morning bath.  Because it increases stimulation of the blood supply it is useful for circulatory problems like swelling and oedema and is incredible at combating fluid retention and lymphatic congestion making it an effective oil for cellulite.

Our base oils are Sunflower seed oil, Marula and Pracaxi.  Pracaxi is known for healing scar tissue and is wonderful for hyperpigmentation and stretch marks.  Marula oil is high in phytonutrients and antioxidants   and will make your skin glow!

My recipe:

84g  of Sunflower oil

10g Marula 0il

5g Pracaxi oil

0.4g of Juniper berry oil

0.3g of Rosemary oil

0.2g Clary Sage

0.1g Cedarwood Virginia

Use in the bath or massage in upward strokes on the areas that need it most!
